The CL-16 is M rated, not SA -
http://www.smf.org/cert. If it was sold to you with an SA label (check the inside of the top of the helmet under the loose liner), then you unfortunately have a counterfeit label. And yes, places do do that to the unsuspecting.
Ms are good for beginners, don't disagree there, especially for $100 or so. Hell, I ran an M until I had to upgrade to SA. But a head's up that just because it's Snell that doesn't mean it's automatically SA.
