swift996 i had this happen in my car. Ever since it happened I have found the best way to verify my cable has a solid connection (until I repin my obd2 port) is to go into data logging/map access mode for a few minutes prior to flashing. If the car doesn't drop connection after a few minutes in map access mode, then I know that I have a solid connection and can proceed with the flash.
A bit of a pain, but not nearly as bad as being stranded.
