Most of the time the installer is the one who gets screwed (at least on OEM parts) because they get the part for the customer. Bringing 3rd party parts into a place and asking them to install them generally puts the onus on the customer. That's part of why I initially posted up my experience. No one warned me and while I didn't loose money paying someone to install the kit, I didn't want someone else to.
In the end I think this issue comes down to this:
Some of us feel like if you put your name on a part, and put that part in a box with your name on it, and then make money selling it, you are ultimately responsible for the performance of the part... or lack there of.
Perrin and other people feel differently about the subject.
I've talked with Perrin_Mladen via a few PMs and we just don't see eye to eye on it, and that's okay. That's why there is room for other options out there.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I was about to pull the trigger on the Perrin oil cooler, but after seeing how they handled your situation I've decided to spend my money elsewhere.
