No. You're going to cause a detonation that could put excessive wear on the seals, and over time it causes a failure as the seals are taking a lot of heating up abuse.

I believe it means this only happens on 3-4, 4-5, and 5-6 shifts. Not 1-2 or 2-3 shifts.
It should still happen on any shift in any gear since the load is based on RPMs and not gears.
