From the factory, the 2013-2016 Subaru BRZ has LED panels in the headlight that illuminate for the parking light and DRL. With these Diode Dynamics OEM-grade replacement LED panels, you can upgrade your look by making them function as both the white running light, with full multicolor functionality.


Made in USA: These DRL Boards were proudly CAD-designed by our engineers right here in St. Louis, Missouri to be an OEM-grade, drop-in replacement for your factory DRLs! These use high quality LED emitters that ensure extremely high brightness, even during the day. The RGBW 5050 LEDs are high-binned for color uniformity.

This product is not just RGB- it is RGBW! That means there is an LED chip that is specifically white in color, right next to the standard red, green, and blue chips. By using an RGBW controller rather than the standard RGB, you can activate and control the white chip independently of the colors. This provides a much more uniform, pure, and bright white color than the traditional method of combining all RGB signals.

There is a standard RGBW input plug (5-pin) to connect to your RGBW controller, which should then be powered by your parking lights or any other 12V signal. This connector is plug-and-play with Diode Dynamics controllers. We strongly recommend the use of Diode Dynamics controllers with this product, for ease-of-use. However, you can connect any standard RGB or RGBW controller by cutting the pins off the connector end, and connecting them to your controller, in the required color configuration, as dictated by the controller you use. This does not void the warranty.

For OEM-grade reliability, the LEDs are protected by a thermal management system, which is integrated into the panel and driver. If the temperature of the LEDs becomes too high for any reason, the output of the LEDs will decrease, to ensure long life in even the harshest environments. And of course, the advanced constant-current driver ensures that there will be no damage to the LEDs long-term from the harsh electrical system of the vehicle.

Any issue with the glue when baking the headlights? I did a ROBO mod on my 3000GT and dealing with the glue was a pain and required the factory glue to be removed and new windshield adhesive to be installed to replace it and make things easier. Looks much easier in the video but that glue was a real PITA until i had a friend use a heat gun as i scraped glue out with a screwdriver!!

The BRZ uses rubber butyl to seal the housings. It's easy to work with, and shouldn't require too much effort to separate.

This would be awesome if there was a kit for the DRLS on a BRZ as well. Both controlled at the same time.

The BRZ's lower DRLs are much more difficult to open up. They aren't sealed the same way the headlight housings are.
