Low mileage and going FI - Replace clutch or wait?

Am in the process of gathering supporting mods for my turbo build. I'll be running the SBD kit at 10psi. My question is this - my car is a 2015 with 10,000 miles on it. Most of my driving is on the highway. Do I update to an Exedy Stage 2 clutch now or wait?

There is nothing worse than a slipping clutch while your car is on the dyno being tuned.

Make sure you go higher weight oil. Pro tip.

im running the exedy stage 1, on 300hp at 14psi, approx 255wtq with 0 slip( i make full boost at 3500rpm) , dont think the sbd kit can produce much more than that. The stage 1 feels very close to the stock clutch.

If your aiming around the same figures id look into it, as i get stuck in traffic alot and the heavier duty clutch's in stop start make you want to punch the dashboard

I would wait. You never know it might last you a long time. If it does go out its only a 2 to 3 hour job to replace.

The stock clutch was in my case taxed on the stock car with AD08r's. Let alone when I added boost. Something like the Clutch Industries clutch which is similar in feel is excellent for lower boost settings. I will always say this. Do it once, Do it properly.

I vote before, that way you can make sure everything is happy prior to adding boost. One less thing to troubleshoot. Will also allow you to break in the new clutch incase your car doesn't run too hot before it is fully tuned. No worries of glazing a fresh clutch on the dyno that way.

Do it before, get through the break in so you don't have to think about it when you want to go have fun with your new turbo. Then again that turbo isn't big power so if you don't hammer your car the stocker could last a good while.
