How many containers of Motul 300?

I will be changing the manual transmission and diff fluid on my 2013 FR-S. My question is more regarding the amount of total containers to purchase for the Motul 300 fluid.

Motul 300 sells in 1L containers. The FR-S manual calls for 2.2 liters full for the tranny and 1.3 full for the diff.

That being said, if I buy 3 containers I will be .5 liters short altogether. For those that have done this service with Motul 300, did you order 4 containers for the extra .5 or just go with 3? Is the extra .5 total absolutely required?

I only ask because I could not find this specific topic/question anywhere. With Motul 300 being a bit pricey, if I can save on a fourth container, that would be ideal.

Thanks Guys!

I ordered 4 when I had my car. That way next time you change it you'll only need to buy 3.

When it comes to lubricants, always use the directed amount. Never under or over fill, it'll only cause heartache and cost even more money in the long run.

Thanks Bobblehead! I really appreciate the feedback. And you're right, do it right the first time.
