Best BRZ FR-S GT86 Ace Header exhaust (sound)

Hi Everyone,

We're looking for some feedback on what Ace Header owners are looking for in terms of sound from their exhaust systems.

The Type A and Type B Ace headers- paired with different frontpipes, midpipes and mufflers- all have different resonance and frequencies.

Most know we are working on a CSG designed "Laguna Spec" low db muffler (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=95331), but some are looking for a mean growl from their tuned 86's.

This thread is a great place for most systems (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6064) and while combing through it, we noticed the sound variance in what people like is huge.

We've been playing in the shop with mufflers and have found ways to get certain frequencies and resonance with different configurations. The main goal is still to limit power loss and save weight, but if we can easily make a muffler that sounds great to you guys, we're happy to try.

If you have any sound clips already and want to post here we'd love to know what you're running. Just mention which

Header (Type A or Type B 350/250/150)
Frontpipe
Midpipe
Muffler

We really appreciate your thoughts and opinions. And thanks to everyone who's supported us so far, we hope you're enjoying these cars as much as we are.

Happy Driving,
Team Ace

I love this post.

I'd like to note that the Laguna Seca fly-by clip is with a stock RS1.0 exhaust, which is quite a bit louder than a "normal" oem exhaust, but IMO it sounds awesome.

I WILL have the 350 when tax return comes... yet so far away :(
Will the Type A 350's still be produced by then?

If there are any left... it's first come first serve. The Type B 350 will be the alternative :)

Thanks for the videos. Although I did get caught up binging on drunk girl compilations from one of the video links.....

Kevin has a cutout in the OEM exhaust piping so it's basically a muffler delete without the muffler being actually deleted.

ACE Type A 350 + ACE FP + Magnaflow in midpipe + Greddy SP Elite

Initially had everything except the Magnaflow and SP Elite. The stock muffler rasp/rattle/vibrated so much it was awful. Then I had a 4x9x17 magnaflow welded into the midpipe. This cut down the exterior volume slightly, introduced a lil bit of cabin noise but did NOTHING to get rid of the vibration/resonance in the tin can stock muffler. The SP Elite took care of that.

UP this thread.
Especially looking for ACE 250 + catted and resonated midpipes + Q300 or other silent catback.
