E85 convertion questions..

When converting to E85 can that harm your engine, fuel pump system ? I was looking at the kits to do the convertion and I saw their was nothing to it. I'm new to E85 so please help.

Afaik there is only one known case of failure while running E85, and it doesn't seem like E85 was the cause. The fuel filter deteriorated.

We've got people who've ran it exclusively for long terms without any issue.

If the car is not designed to handle high ethanol content then it can cause harm (i.e a older car generally) but almost all gas has 10% ethanol anyways now. So far I have not heard of any issues on the FRS so I would assume its fine. I would personally do a flex fuel kit if I had access to E85. And it can cause engine harm if not tuned proper, but that goes for any tune gas or E85.

So it's does need a tune after insalling the e85 kit right ?

Absolutely you need a tune haha!

I would highly recommend a flex fuel kit so you can switch between E85 and gas easily.
