BRZ/Bluetooth/iPhone
Okie dokie....first one with the correct answer wins a cookie. (Flavor to be determined at a later date.)
Question: In my BRZ, when using Bluetooth with my iphone and playing music, is there ANY way to get the search function working on the head unit screen? At this point all I can do is track forward and backward but not select playlists, artists or anything else - AND - you can't select playlists on the iphone as the ipod function is locked out being connected by bluetooth. I know the obvious solution is to just run bluetooth for phone and then run audio out through the dock connector seeing as how its plugged in to charge anyway but I was trying to avoid having to select a source on the iPhone everytime its plugged in - OR better yet, not have to plug the phone in at all and just use Bluetooth the way one might hope it was designed to work. Thoughts? |
The iPhone only supports a fairly basic version of the AVRCP bluetooth profile (the profile for media control). From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647:

Thanks cmspooner
Looks like iOS 6 will bring iPhones up to full functionality when it is released in the fall. Oh and I did promise a cookie... http://ourgemcodes.com/wp-content/up..._with_text.jpg |

If it makes you feel better, my Droid Charge doesn't even send track info. |
Has anyone had connectivity issues using an android device such as the Samsung galaxy s4? Every once and a while my phone connects just fine. But most of the time it just connects and disconnects like every 30 seconds. Even when I shut off the blue tooth the unit still figures out how to screw with me. At this point i'm fed up. Any input would help!
