Issue after changing Rear Rotors
Hey guys:
I just changed my stock rear rotors to DBA T3 slotted rotors. I found my hand brake did not work effectively after changing rotors. I need to pull it up very very high in order to park on the hill... Someone said I need to adjust the park shoe while others say I need to bring the car up to 30, pull up on the brake hard and let the car stop... Btw, I cleaned the new rotors very carefully with brake cleaner. Anyone had the same experience? Appreciate any imformation:confused0068: |
Sounds like the mechanic who did it forgot something.

I don't think the dust plate has that slot in it, so you'll have to line up that extra hole in the rotor with the adjuster to get a flathead screwdriver on it. adjust it until it drags and then back off a bit. |
I've had this problem for over a year now! Tried adjusting it with little success.. But I'll give it another go in the spring.
My problem was that I never knew which way to adjust the cog. Does it tighten to the left or right? As in should I use the left hand or right hand rule? |
