Encounter Any Subaru BRZ Trolls Yet?
 

Have you guys encountered any Subaru BRZ owners who went out of their way to talk trash on the FR-S?

I must admit... I encountered my first one on Saturday morning when I was getting my tints done. The guy couldn't stop talking about how he hated the scion, how the subaru is so much nicer, etc...

I'm not an argumentative guy, so I really didn't even bother going back and forth with him. aka I'm smart enough to realize it's the same exact car! Haha.

"oh i got the limited edition with leather interior"

"oh you got an auto? not a good choice"

"oh yeah... those tints you're getting - are you sure you want to get pulled over by the cops" (my response - yeah.. you know what man? i'm not too worried about it)

"the BRZ front looks so much better"

I just thought it was funny though. Its amazing how far people will go out of their way just to insult others. Gotta just brush it off and let the haters be haters.

Just for full disclosure purposes, I think the Scion looks way better but the BRZ is a nice car as well. I'm a reasonable guy so I can like both models without throwing a hissyfit/hating on the BRZ.

Haha! People are always so quick to bash on scion. At the end of the day they are the exact same car. I love both of them pretty equally. I chose to get the scion because I like the front end a little better and I'm a Toyota fan.

I was hoping that FRS/BRZ owners wouldnt turn into snobs. At first it seemed that a more mature crowd would be owning these cars, but after reading the "FRS look like a Maserati" and "neck turner, pictures taken, jaws dropping" threads I have lost hope. Just wait until the 2014's come out, the 2013's will be saying theirs are better because it's more "pure"....lol....

What a douche..giving us BRZ owners a bad rep. True enthusiasts should appreciate the car, not the badge.

Not yet. I have heard people say " too bad its a scion."
