late 2014 toyota gt 86 reverse camera install
 

I have the entry level late 2014 toyota gt 86 the one that comes with a non touch screen and I was wondering does this car have a reverse wire that i can get a harness to connect a reverse cam or do I need to splice into the reverse sensor cable in the kick panel? I know the gts model has the reverse cable where you can just get a harness

If you pull your headunit out and look at the 28pin connector, if it has a wire in position 2 it has the reverse trigger installed, if it is blank then you will have to run the wire yourself.


My 2015 Scion did not have the wire and I had to run it myself. I know some of the BRZ's have the trigger wire, I don't know about the GT86 and am making the assumption that it has the same headunit as the scion.
