Pinch weld side of the car bending!

So I lift my car to change to my winter tire, and I noticed that everytime I raise the car with my floor jack... it bends the pinch welds on the side of the car... I can't put my jack in the front on the car (car too low for fat lift)

what am I doing wrong? Why is it bending...

Once I lift the car, I put jack stands and the stands don't bend...

My garage is in cement and its not fully leveled, might that be the cause?

Mine is bent too if it makes you feel any better. Anyone know of an effective way to bend it back?

Just start using a piece of wood on the inside edge of that weld to lift car and don't worry about it.

Also, if car is too low to lift from front, drive up on said pieces of wood to get the jack under the front subframe. Then put jack stands, with Hf rubber covers, along inside edge of that pinch weld.

Dude.
Buy some 2x4's or 4x6's two foot lenghts and have the store cut them at a 25 degree angle up to one foot or till equal.

Do not be afraid of bending the pinch welds. If it bothers you that much get some pliers and bend them back. The only reason why the car has pinch welds are for the factory jack to stay put.

You'll be fine using your jack with no problems. Just a bending pinch weld. No big deal. It's just cosmetic.

Well the front fender bolts to the front one I think....so you don't want to completely flatten it.

i cut up an old, barely used tire i had lying around. one pad each for 4 stands and a larger pad for the jack, works great.

if your car is too low to get the jack under, get some wood and drive up on it like suggested...that's what i've been doing for ten years haha.

I have one of these:

i tried using hockey pucks, slotted in the middle 3/4" and it ended up getting split apart after about 6 times of use. i tried again with another hockey puck and same exact thing.

now i use a metal one for pinch welds and it's awesome. i forgot the exact name, but it's metal, red, magnetic, and comes with a tag that says "remove before flight" or something.
