According to a lot of people, for this car, led headlight related bulbs suck because there cutoff is quite bad there's a vendor here that did a comparison to a quality HID kit and the glare on the wall they tested was pretty bad.

No need to disconnect anything to turn it off in our cars, a bluetooth obdII dongle and the carista app and you can just switch it off in the ECU.

Really? Never knew that, thanks!

Does that app give you all the functionality of what like the techstream clone stuff you can buy? I really want to change a few things on my car (seat belt chime, when headlights turn on, and a few others) and if I could just get an app instead of having to buy new hardware, that'd be awesome.

Pretty much, I haven't used it in a while since I haven't had the stock halogens in a while with the crap DRLs, basically you can disable safety chimes, DRLs, reset ecu if there's a CEL, control auto headlight sensitivity if you have a 2015, how long the lights stay on after the doors are locked etc. It was $20 in the app store when I got it and a quality elm 327 bluetooth dongle was only $5

The app is now FREE, I just downloaded it via App Store

Awesome, I will pick that up instead of the techstream stuff, should be way simpler.

Their website says customization is a $19.99 in-app purchase, but it sounds like diagnostics are free. I don't have a bluetooth obdII reader to test it out yet though.

Not free, I ran the beta for the developer for some time, once you are in the car and have the dongle in it will say customization are 19.99
