DIY camber adjustments?

if all i want to do is add some front camber to an otherwise stock car, is it feasible to install camber plates myself and adjust it at home? or am i going to impact toe/caster when i move the camber around?

You can do the install yourself, but you should get it aligned asap. There's a couple of how to's in the DIY section if you need some help. Make sure you don't spin the strut rod when you're tightening the top nut. A pass through socket is a must when assembling struts. And torque the top mount nuts to spec. People using too much torque has sheared off a few of those bolts.

I'd suggest you look into camber bolts if money is an issue. They only take a minute to install for an alignment tech that already has the car on a lift so they typically won't charge extra. The cost of bolts and an alignment would be less than just buying the camber plates.

Bolts also have the added bonus of not increasing NVH and they don't require as much maintenance.

You can get the bolts from any number of places, including a Subaru dealership.
