camshaft CLEARANCE

hey 86 owners

i had strange clicks from 1# 3# piston side . i think that clicks because of high pressure pump . but day by day and after long high way drive i hear it a a lot . that sound scared me . so Decided Analysis the issue starting disconnect the DI system by using tech stream. whats happened here is the pump stop clicking and that car runs with port fueling system . the clicks from right side shows up and it say i and problem here . OK that worried me and the game start .

engine works from 29/11/2012 with 130k km on clock

- removed the engine
-stand the engine
- remove valve cover
- calculate cam clearance

i found my cam aliment is out of limit as shown blow

limit
intake 0.10 mm - 0.16mm
exhaust 0.21 mm - 0.27mm

what i am looking for is can i use the engine with that issue and keep it without fix the clearance .

In rare cases check your AVCS sensor as those can go bad and have effected a few people on here.

The OP is talking about clearances... Not a sensor related input. This is a physical measured value that he measured using feeler gauges.

That'd be the cam position where he checked the clearance I believe.

I'd say those measurements are probably ok .02mm could be normal wear.
