Cold start

Anyone else get a delayed start up primarily in the morning? It started happening after i switched to E85. I'm on the open flash tablet E85 UEL header tune if that matters. I've never had a failed start up and it works perfectly after the first one of the day.

Seems to be a common issue with E85. Wouldn't sweat it

If you search this you will find multiple threads talking about the effects of the cold with e85. LMGTFY

As others have said, it's common. It will be worse when it gets colder outside. You might see some improvement if you turn the ignition "on" for a moment before actually starting the engine. This will prime the fuel pump.

Still not a real fix, though.

Gotcha. As long as it is not a huge problem i'm fine with it. Just had to check.

I had this same problem with my 03 wrx. I let my mom drive it for the first time and she did not click the ignition to let the fuel pump prime before turning on and it was the worst turnover i've ever heard. We drove down the street and i saw there was a check engine light on. It was 2 missfire codes for cylinders 1 and 3. I wiped it and never had that problem again. Then 3 weeks later I blew a head gasket >.< I don't think theyre related at all though.

Modify the cranking injector pulse width tables

copy them out of one of wayno's tunes see his thread here they are A01G/I tunes just copy the cranking ipw tables from tunes into yours C or D series E85 rom.

will start first crank

see thread here (use his definitions as well

The post start timing and maf adjustments help immensely also, to the point where it starts first crank at about 5C on most cars. After all that if it still takes 2 cranks, do the first with your foot flat on the throttle.

Also, this topic is in the wrong forum in addition to being redundant.
