Oil Cooler
Hi, I'm interested in this unit. I need something to warm my oil up a bit quicker in the mornings and also keep it cooler for occasional track days.
Did you get readings on your oil temps when using it compared to stock? How hard was it to install? Thanks! Marc |
Its pretty easy to install, hardest part being the lower radiator hose as you have to remove the aluminum tray under the engine. after that its pretty easy. drain your coolant, swap the hoses in, and bolt the cooler on, don't even need to drain your oil if you don't want. theres some pretty good DIY guides out there I can link to if you need. I don't have any temps for without a cooler(ive read some peoples went as high as 280), but with this cooler on tracks i saw 230-240, occaisonly it hit 250 on longer straits in the summer. It definitely helps warming the oil up, it seems to take forever now for me.

Install is easy if you have replacement radiator hoses available, however the lower hose is the hardest hose to remove. -alex |
