changing interior illumination from red to blue?
 

I'd been wishing there was some way to change the illumination from red to blue without costing a fortune but had just assumed it probably wasn't doable... until I saw this YouTube video a while back.

What would it take to do something like that?

Just swap the LED's ?? They are cheap and it is not super hard to do. There is a DIY on here somewhere :search:.

Thanks for the link. I've swapped gauge faces before so I remember how tricky it was to pull the tach/speedo/etc needles off then try to put them back on.

There's still the center console which I thought might be tricky to swap the LED's because I have climate control, but I found a post for that: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1959880

I'm probably going to pull the plug on the idea of converting the LED's from red to blue because it just dawned on me that the interior stitching is all red. I'd have to swap out all those bits for identical pieces with blue stitching like the Series.Blue trim to match the blue LED's.

I know you can also change all the interior dome lights to whatever color for under $50.
