Vacuum hose for boost controller

1 Attachment(s)
Probably a stupid question...

I've got an AVO turbo on my GT86 and need to replace the hoses that connect the boost controller to the inlet and connect the boost controller to the actuator. The hoses that were installed with the turbo have barely lasted 5 months before cracking and splitting.

Attachment 117729

Can I just use any silicone vacuum hose? I thought I could, but then I saw that some say "Not designed or suitable for pressurised systems" and I've no idea if these connections count as pressurised or not...

Thanks
Chris

My favorite source for vacuum/boost hose is here since you can buy it by the foot:

OK but what I'm asking is: Is vacuum hose like that suitable for between the boost controller and wastegate actuator, and between the boost controller and turbo/inlet ?

I was looking at this stuff: https://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p...r-metre-vt4b2w

But then saw it says "Rated for use up to 200°C but not designed for high pressure applications" and on another site it says "Not designed or suitable for pressurised systems". So now I'm not sure if its suitable as I've no idea what constitutes "high pressure" or a pressurised system. My turbo currently runs about 0.9 bar of boost maximum but if I get the engine rebuilt then I'll be running much more than that and I don't want to have to end up replacing these hoses again after that... but nowhere seems to have a definition of exactly what the limit is for pressure becoming "high" so I've no idea if these hoses are suitable or not.

I went braided stainless, not cheap when you compare to the by the foot stuff but way cheaper then the problems can can follow a failed line.

Like mrk1 I went the AN fitting route but didn't use braided, just push lock hose.

Samco makes good shit. I am sure that will work just fine. I ran silicone hose for 15,000 miles and never had to replace it.
