Hey guys! I finally got rid of my prius tires and the OEM wheels on my FR-S! Im super happy on how these XXR 527's came out! These are 18x8.75 +35! These are wrapped in some 215/40's! Minimal stretch but i love it! However, im starting to wish i would've done +20 in the rear since i plan on lowering the car 2 inches. The rear is a couple centimeters from flush. When i lower it, will i need to add spacers in order to have it perfectly flush? I know the front will be perfect since there is a bit of poke right now, but the back is what im worried about. I was thinking of maybe throwing some 15mm spacers in the rear. Let me know what you guys think!

Everyone's definition of flush is different.
Lower first, then spacers after. 5mm should get you most of the way there. 15mm requires bolt on spacers or extended studs.

How bad are bolt on spacers?

I personally am fine with them. The "correct" way is buying the right sized wheels or buy extended studs and add slip on spacers.
Many people don't like them because of bolts on top of bolts with thin nuts, makes more failure points, and people usually cheap out and buy the cheapest possible(they are not cheap). You might even be better off just buying another pair at +20. Read up on it and find out if they are safe for you.

215" on a 8.75" wide wheel is a pretty bad stretch.

That's what I'm thinking too. I run 235 on my 8.5" fronts.

OP - just think of the meats you could get on there. You could easily run 245s and it would give your car such an aggressive look. The only concern you may have then would be the fronts grabbing the fender liner at full lock.

i used to run 235/45's on a 16x10... that was minimal to me, haha

i run a 215 on a 10" wide wheel, thats a bad stretch. stop putting false information in peoples heads 215 on a 8.75 is completely fine

I actually agree with him. If you look at the wheel, there's hardly any stretch. I could run 18x10's on 215's. That's considered stretched.

Not to go off topic but does anyone have the actual weight of these ( XXR 527 18x8.75 +35)? I read of their site that they are estimated at approx. 23lbs?

Which makes me wonder if the XXR 550 in the same specs are the same weight even though they have more spokes.
