any real fix for non-linear throttle?

My apologies in advance for not searching for this topic, but I couldn't find anything after searching using a dozen different word combinations.

This car has the typical "Japanese" throttle response, where you get a lot of response with the first bit of pedal motion and the gain beyond that point is much less. I tried the "disconnect battery, reconnect, then depress pedal 15 times" (or whatever it was) but it made no discernable difference.

Does the car really "learn" your driving style or is that BS?

Most tuning solutions let you alter the throttle mapping to your liking.

AT or MT?

AT. But when in Sport or Manual mode the torque convertor is locked up, so it is difficult to feed in a little throttle without the car without jerking

Yes, the AT map is non linear compared to MT. The only choice you have is a tuning platform. The good news is you can just copy the MT map directly over. No actual tuning required.

Can you recommend which would be the easiest / least expensive platform?

I have to admit my ignorance-- is this something I can do myself?

Thank you,

Jim

Openflash tablet. See software sub forum.

OFT would be easiest.
Tactrix would be least expensive.
