I am working on a trip to pitt for a group of other customers. I posted in the opticoat thread and am working on the schedule for it now. If you are interested please send me a PM so you are not missed.

I might be interested in this as well.

As far as opticoat, can it only be applied when the car is brand new?

No it can be applied to vehicles of all age provided the paint is decontaminated and prepped.

Ideally a corrected, defect free surface is what it should be applied to because any heavy corrective polishing will remove the coating and it would need reapplication.

Plus this is the benefit of the coating, it makes perfect paint easier to keep perfect.

Does that make sense?

So, have you found anybody yet Brandon? I am also around the Pittsburgh area and would love if someone could Opti-guard my BRZ :D

Don't mess around with any other PA detailer besides Barry Theal. The boy's got mad skills.

Does he Opti-coat? He looks awesome but expensive as hell. Any clue what his prices are like?

I can handle it but I'm 2 hours south sometimes.

I see this a lot, people price shop until they find the cheapest deal, then get low quality work and end up paying more to have it fixed than if they would have just contacted a reputable person in the first place.

I'm not looking for cheap, but a guy who specializes in Ferraris may be out of my price range.
