Missing grommet rear wheel well?

This is my first post, so hello. Thank you for having me. :bow:

I just bought a new FRS last weekend..schwweeet!

Quick question, am I missing grommets (snap in) in the rear wheel well area? Seems odd that there are none there.

There are 2 clearly empty holes. Do any of you have empty holes lol?

All the cars come like that. I put some plugs in mine just because.

You're not missing anything. Those are the holes for mounting the Scion factory mug guards. If you buy a BRZ or don't order factory mud guards from Scion for an FR-S, you just have holes there.

mine has it stock, why did you need to buy it...?

Only the Canadian's get stock mudguards, heated mirrors and no lowering springs on the RS1. I think they are trying to tell us something.

Being that you're a safety guy (from what I remember) I'm sure you cleared all that snow off your car before leaving the driveway ;)

Actually I was pulling into the laneway. Pulled in, decided to snow blow and backed up to the end.

what kind of tires do you got on there? Did you lowered your car by any chance? what is it like in canada? Can i stay over for a few days? so many questions yet little time :bow:

Any good snow tires (SNOW tires not "performance "snow tires). Lowered 1& 1/2 inches. Where I am much like Michigan only cleaner, nicer people (mostly nicer) and less guns. Sure. I have time.

I bought some blizzaks which helped alot but I still get stuck often on stock height. I wanted to drop 1 inch on springs. Are you currently using coilover or springs? Ohio weather is like Satan's playground. Once month is could be snowing 10 inches @-20 degree the next could be a heat wave at @110 +

Since I am directly across Lake Erie from Ohio we get much the same weather (in fact part of Ohio is actually north of me).

The trick for driving in deep snow is:
Turn off traction control - You will get stuck as soon as one wheel spins and it cuts power to the other.
Slow steady starts in 2nd gear - If you spin the tires and they dig in and turn the snow to ice you are done.
Don't panic and back off too much if the rear starts to swing a little - Once you are moving keep moving. The rear will only swing so far if you are gentle.
Shift with gentle clutch engagement at lower revs - No car will react well to sudden changes in snow.
Don't be timid - Pausing, hesitation or over reaction will get you stuck faster than anything else.

I live on a street that is rarely plowed and have smashed through snow that was 14+ inches deep and waved to the AWD drivers that were stuck while I did it.
