Scion Canada warranty problems

Hey guys as some of you know my car is currently not running due to a clutch issue.

Full story and lots of pics can be found here

Scion has been giving me a really hard time and have been denying the coverage as well as not even give me a call from a manager as I've requested 2 times now. I also put up a post on scion canadas FB page to pressure them into dealing with the situation

any support by sharing and liking would be appreciated!

There is an ombudsman for warranty claims in Ontario. I dont have a link but google it. As I recall yours looked disintegrated, not worn out. You have recourse.

Indeed I'm probably going to look into possible steps from this point.

Hopefully they help you. They sponsor track events etc... So what's their problem right? Sometimes the dealer just tries to avoid it. My steering wheel is peeling one dealer said wear and tear? Wtf.. I had a 2010 S corolla with a leather steering wheel for 3 years and no peeling. Come on Scion, such vast marketing but virtually no customer service. Smh.

Ya if you look at the post it's not even the dealer that is making the decisions it's scion Canada that has denied the warranty. Pretty shady business indeed considering the track day in Toronto they hosted in May. I would be inquiring if my warranty is now void if you attended that day. Also sharing the FB post I left on their page and liking or commenting would be appreciated!

Just saw those pix on the other thread that carnage looked like something blew up?

You know ever since I replaced my clutch disc and cover with the slightly more heavy duty one from STI, I no longer have this clutch smell everytime after a spirited drive. That smell just worried me (I used to think it was my brakes but guess not). My mechanic said my stock clutch looked perfect after 17000km. I threw in a new Subaru throwout bearing anyway just in case (good $60 bucks insurance).

Try taking it to a different dealership? I know some dealerships are a nightmare. For example, Wayne Toyota in Thunder bay. I went to the Subaru dealership next door and they did the warrantee work for me. Apparently my VIN comes up as a Subaru FR-S lol

interesting maybe Subaru would be easier to deal with. Another scion dealership wouldn't matter as its been escalated and denied by Scion Canada.

It's called CAMVAP. CAnadian Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan.

Or contact OMVIC but I think they deal mostly with sales-related claims.

Definitely follow up with the other options people have been listing in both threads.

Just an FYI, both the links at the top are broken. They both start like this:

Odd the links are working for me... Yup options being looked at!

I have provided all the info on the program already on anther thread and to OP by PM. This is a very effective method of dealing with warranty issues. It is fast, simple and best of all totally free. Two people I know have used it and both won their cases.
The very first thing that they say is to not discuss the case on social media as it can compromise the facts and relationship with the dealer/company.

They will just kick you back to Scion/Toyota. Car is made by them but they do not honour the Toyota warranties.
