Window squeaking problem, really need help, how to fix?

Toyota 86 GTS (2013) Windows' noise problem
https://youtu.be/vIdafkQpdkE

https://youtu.be/difNUGd3aV8

https://youtu.be/yCaOI0NxfXs

Purchased Price: AU$42000
Purchased date: 30/01/2014
Purchased store: Nanawading Toyota
Problem start
05/2014:
Both side windows made noise every time after car wash or rain.

19/12/2014:
Told Nanawading Toyota to fix the windows problem at the 2nd service. Picked up car at around 3pm, responded by staff "Got no time to fix windows today, will call me to arrange another day."
After 2 weeks passed, never received any call. I was busy at work, I decided to wait for next time service to fix this small problem.

20/05/2015:
Windows problem was getting serious, made huge noise, heard a big sound like a metal spring hit the door, felt like the glass will be broken. Took to Nanawading Toyota to fix this problem, also need to do a wheel balance, wheel is not straight to right.
Picked up car at 5:20pm. Clearly asked to make sure windows problem fixed and wheel balance done. Also confirm they have done real proper test.
I drove out Toyota 2mins, realized the wheel was still not balance, SAME as before. They didn't run the test, they lied. I don't even know they have ever fix it or not. I made u turn back to Toyota , they closed already.
I went to washed the car, noise was still there. I was really disappointed and angry to Toyota.

21/05/2015:
Second day, I took another day off, took the car back. The staff "Dean" (the only staff who knows what is customer service in there), he done test driving to my car, agreed the wheel is not balance, also heard the windows noise. He apologized, I left the car there again.

22/05/2015:
Picked up car at 8:30am. Wheel balance done but windows problem can not be fixed. Dean told me they called Toyota head office for help, they ordered door parts from Japan to fix the noise problem, this the solution from Toyota Head Office for fixing my car windows.

17/06/2015:
Took 86 back to do parts change. Aaron (service manager) serviced me,
I "Please make sure problem fixed before call me to pick up the car."
A "We just follow the order from head office to change these parts, we a not sure it will be fix or not."
I "....."
I "What will u do if noise still there after parts changed?"
A "There's nothing we can do."
I ".....!!!"
I "I have been here 4 times already, Toyota can't fix a Toyota car with a window problem, a u sure about this?"
A "We'll do our best."
I "Please run few more test to make sure it fixed."
A "Ok, No problem."
Received call at 4:40pm, problem fixed, ready to pick up.

18/06/2015:
Raining morning, picked up car at 8:30am. Handed over key to me, signed paper, pay loan car patrol. Never ask me to check the car to confirm problem fix or not. Good service! manager! I was hurry to work. Drove right away. Cars was wet, I checked windows, problem STILL not fixed. They didn't check it properly or they didn't even run any test. I am very disappointed and angry. This Toyota is hopeless. Wasting my time, my money. I am very frustrating.
I called to Toyota head office to complain, got a case number : 2015-040445. Promised to call back in 48hrs.

19/06/2015:
Took my 86 to wash, still making huge noise. Not even a little improvement. Also the driver side window is over loose. Window shakes when every time rise it up or down.

20/06/2015:
5pm, 17hrs after car washed, still making huge noise. Window isn't installed at right position, window tinting has been ripped off.

22/06/2015:
Called Toyota service Team. They respond they supposed to call me back 48hrs - 72hrs(office hrs, sat & sun not included), 3days. So they still time to get information from Nanawading Toyota.
I called them last Thursday 3:43pm. Until tomorrow 3:43pm will be enough for 72hrs.
Or 8 working hrs a day, 72hrs means 9days?
I hope the staff from Toyota customer service should understand why I am run out of patience, if can't, read my story again. And it is ur responsible to be patience to me as a good customer service. Thank you very much, Toyota.

23/06/2015:
Toyota customer service called back at 5pm, request me to take back Nanawading Toyota, they will send a expert technician from head office to fix the problem. I except that.
My request to Toyota, I had given enough chance for Toyota to fix it. Who will accept to do many surgery to ur lovely car and it's getting worse. This will be the last chance for them to fix it, if still can't fix it. Toyota need to replace me a new car. Problem started only 6months after I bought it, I can believe they sell me a faulty product. According to ACCC I have my consumer rights to do it.
I will called Nanawading Toyota tomorrow.

24/06/2015:
Talked with Peter service manager from Nunawading Toyota, end up the technician is away for 1 month, not able to come and fix my 86. Asked me to drop the 86 again for 3days to let them fix.
I can't believe he said I shouldn't post those complaining on Facebook. My action was bad. I was being complained by him. I was getting more angry.

25/06/2015:
Got call from Peter at morning to booked the time on 13/07/2015 to take the car to them. Over the phone, he was still complaining, told me they serviced me very nice. Loan car with out charged, done the wheel balance for me without charged, told me if I want to see things on my own way is my choice, no one is perfect. I still got complain from him. He is really trying to friction the fire.
Will u feel comfortable to let him touch ur car if u were me?

Will u accept this?
$42000 to buy a faulty car?
Toyota can't fix a Toyota car?
Can't even fix two windows?
Am I in 2015 or 1915?
Technology still not good enough?
Year of the car at 2012?
Nothing we can do?
Service manager?
Where is the consumer rights?
What will u do if u bought a $42 faulty from k-mart, JB or Apple? The Answer is get a exchange or refund.
What do I get from this $42000 Toyota 86?

The friction when the window are rolling up and down, I've experienced that on a few "odd" days. I applied some trim gel on the rubber seals to make the gliding more smoother and I believe it's fixed my issue. Everyone' case may be different with these windows as I know some friends that had to get their entire rubber seals replaced.

Is your tint installed from factory or aftermarket? If it's aftermarket, Toyota may come back and say your tint is causing this friction, might not even warranty your window problem, assuming they choose to be a jerk about non-factory installed OEM parts.

Hello, Mask621 and welcome to ......The Forum.......

Several folks have had window problems, I suggest you :search: this forum and see if you can get some ideas.

I would suggest that you spray some silicone on the weather stripping that contacts the window glass.

As far as the wheel being out of balance or alignment .... I'd just quit screwing around with the dealer and take it in to a wheel/tire shop and have them fix it.

I hope you get it sorted out ..... :)

Its tinted. Luckily it's done by Toyota. I didn't do anything on my 86

Yep, I hear that.

Back in the day, if something squeaked, I shot it with a mixture of 3-N-1 oil and kerosene ...... now, my ammo is silicone spray ......

Try it on the weather stripping (the silicone) ..... :)

are your doors mounted tight, sealed and sitting sturdy?

See if they bit lose. They do get lose here and there. Might be why window squeaks?

This was caused by passenger door being bit lose. Door was tightened and it stopped.

My windows began squeaking when wet about 3 months ago. My car was about 6 months old at the time.

I only heard the squeaking when the side windows were wet and being raised or lowered. Quite loud and embarrassing.

I noticed if I held the glass inward as the window was raised or lowered the sound wasn't present.

What I did was thoroughly clean the glass using isopropyl alcohol, then lower the window and clean the inner part of the sealing moulding (part that contacts the outside surface of the glass) using alcohol.

Next I covered the outside of the glass with Carnuba Past Wax. I lowered the window with the wax still on, then raised the window. I then removed the wax using a microfiber cloth.

That was a little more than a month ago. No more squeaking when wet even after washing. I imagine this will not last forever, but so it's holding up.
