Exhaust leak?

I recently installed my catback and when i out my overpipe back on i was missing a flange. So now i only have one flange in my overpipe. Ive noticed a ticking noise when i rev it and while i drive its so loud it sound idk if its that or from and injector. I know the boxer is a noisy motor but this is really distintive and none if my fellow frs friend have this. Any thoughts on what a slight leak would sound like?

You're missing a flange or a gasket? If you're missing a flange, that's the entire end of the pipe where the bolts/nuts and the pipe pieces come together sandwiched with a gasket.

Catbacks are the back of the exhaust which is an axleback section combined with a midpipe. The overpipe connects to the header and front pipe.

Header -> Overpipe -> Front Pipe -> Midpipe -> Axleback(muffler)

Front to back of the car.

Slight leaks sound like a ticking noise. If you put a blank sheet of paper up to the flange, it would blow and move. Then you know you have an exhaust leak.

Just go to the dealership, get another gasket, install. Problem solved. Would take you about 30 minutes to do if you have all the required tools.

Slight leak typically sounds like a lawn sprinkler. Like this, but a little faster (skip to 39s): [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KsxHY7oPcjg&t=38s"]Best Lawn Sprinkler - The Impact Sprinkler - YouTube[/ame]

It's particularly noticeable when you're driving next to a wall.

Lol why install an exhaust without a required gasket, you're asking for a leak and now you have more work to do to take it off and put the gasket in

I took my old exhaust off and gave it to my friend and when i put my new one on i got jipped a gasket and it was midnight so i told myself ill fix it another time but now that i hear this noise im going to fix it
