Installed Coils and Toe is really bad
Hey guys,
I wanted to get your guys opinion on this. So today I installed Tein street flex with SPC lower control arms. When I was done, I took my car for a test drive. My car was going all over the road. When I got home, I noticed that the tow in the rear of the car was really bad. Any thoughts on this? I have lowered many vehicles and my 86 is the first one to ever to be this bad after install. |
Get an alignment.

always get an alignment after swapping out suspension parts. try to avoid long distance driving so that you don't ruin your tires due to the out of spec toe.

I'm in the same boat. Street Flex and SPC Arms too. Alignment will solve everything but I can afford to wait until my wheels come in since my commute is relatively not far.

Driving any vehicle while misaligned is a recipe for trouble. Lower speeds are ok but keep it off of the highway, please.

Because I just installed today, do I need to worry about doing this again if I decide to lower the vehicle further?

As for whether or not you want to adjust further, you just have to ask yourself how much are your tires worth. -alex |
It's pretty simple. Set your ride height the way you want it. Drive for a few days to let the springs settle. Go get an alignment. If you change your ride height, you'll need to get another alignment.
