OEM Alarm System
The factory alarm system I know on the BRZ does not come activated - I am not sure if this is the same thing on the FRS.
Essentially without programming it someone could smash your window unlock the door and get inside with no alarm going off at all! I know this applies to 2015 models, I am unsure about 2014 and 2013 but worth checking out.. Thought this may help some people out, no idea if it has been already discussed on the forum or not. http://i58.tinypic.com/24xgi7r.jpg |
Interesting, so any insight if it's on or off for 2015 FRS?

To be honest I am not sure! If you follow the setup it'll say AL on or AL off.
Or just open your window lock the car and then reach in unlock manually and open the door - see if your alarm goes off. |
I don't think the standard FRS comes with the alarm system, it is only available on the BRZ Limited and yes it is deactivated by default.
Once activated, if you try to open the door or trunk with the physical key, the alarm will go off (found this out when I gave the remote fob to the parking attendant at TD Tower and then proceed to open the door with my physical key cuz I forgot something). |
Hi
The last toyobaru have factory alarm? Thanks |
Can anyone clarify the steps? What they mean by Lock the doors using "Remove Keyless" access function? I assume 2 is using the Lock button on the Fob...what about #3?
Also, is it off by default on MY2017's? |
