Greddy oil cooler to cold
I have just recently started running my greddy oil cooler i think i have hooked it up correctly but the temp for normal driving sits at about 70 degrees C.
I believe the target should be about 82. I have i set it up wrong or can i adjust the thermostat? Also i have my oil temp sensor in the sump. Not that that should make any difference. http://i60.tinypic.com/5oc96t.png |
How cold is it there? That's my normal temp just driving home when it is 50F here. That is staying out of boost and cruising for about 10 miles.

Ambient temperature is around 25 C at this time of year.
From what I am told that's to cold of oil temp. Are you runing the greedy cooler too? |
adjust the stat. Unless is stock, then buy a new one

Sounds like you need to block off airflow to the cooler using a block-off plate.
I use my front license plate since my Perrin oil cooler is center-mounted: https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7797/...b36df303_c.jpg With the block-off plate installed, in 70 F (21 C) ambient temps, my oil temps will sit right around 182-185 F (83-85C) on the highway. When I get to the track, I pull my license plate off to let airflow to the cooler. |
