Review: Diode Dynamic FRS Always-On Module

I recently purchased the Diode Dynamics FRS Always-On Module.

It was like roughly 40 dollars and it's pretty high quality.

The package came with a sticker, the module, shipping stuff, and some instructions.

To Install....

First Pop the hood and locate one of the headlight plugs and unplug it. I chose to do it on the driver side.

Connect one of the module ends to the headlight wire. There is only one way it will fit.

Connect the other end to the car.

Turn on your head lights.

The only problem I had was taking off the plug because it was pretty tight. The only confusion I had was I didn't know which way to turn to increase/lower brightness but once you start turning it you'll find out.

Overall, high quality product. 10/10 would buy again.

oh, didn't realize the FRS and BRZ modules were different. I really like the FRS module. For my BRZ, I had to connect behind both headlights and had to run a wire from the fuse box, and between both headlights. It looks kind of lame with a wire coming out of the fusebox even though I tried tucking the wire away as best as I could, lol

Is this only for the monogram series?

I was considering this purchase... only necessary to plug in on one side?

Yes.

I don't own a monogram or RS 1.0. So it can't work with just a base line FRS. :(

Can you elaborate? Was it stuck on a single brightness setting? Or it doesn't dim brightness when switching from daytime to low-beam?

It's stuck on max brightness. I was at an 86 meet and when we tried adjusting it, it didn't make any difference. I sent them an E-mail.
