sensors offset in AIM
I don't know if anyone ever noticed but when i start the car and it is cold, my aat, iat, ect and oil temp should pretty much read all the same thing but it seems like they are like 10 degC + of difference.
I talked about it to the guys at AIM and they suggested to give them solid data so they could change their codes in the software to get more accurate readings. Anyone has an other device along with their AIM to compare the 2 values, both when cold and when at operating temp? car is in repair as we speak so i can't take any readings but i'll try to compare with my ecutek, if anyone has other devices, the more data we have the better we can have them correct the ecu reading for our cars. thanks |
For the oil temp, what are you comparing the AIM readings to? Is the AIM sensing from the ECU or a standalone sensor?

all the sensors i am talking about are OEM sensors.

yes sensors pulled from the CAN, like a regular AIM installation, either with soloDL through obd2 or MXL by hardwiring into a CAN wire.

Yes coolant and IAT are reading 10 deg lower than they should. There is a software patch for this.
