Borla UEL vs. Nameless EL with FI

I'm getting the WORKS turbo kit on Wednesday and was wondering whether or not the BORLA UEL or Nameless EL would be better for forced induction? I know people tend to say EL > UEL but also from what I'm reading Short tube > long tube. So, I was wanting to know what your guy's opinions are on this? The turbo will only be pushing between 7.5 psi on stage 1 and eventually 12.5 psi -16 on stage 2 when I upgrade down the road. I also will be using a full cat less 3" exhaust. Thanks!

P.s. I'm not looking for opinions on the WORKS turbo kit...

(The turbo comes with it's own header. Neither header will work with this turbo. You can use different front and mid-pipes however, the bigger the better.) Wrong. See raven1231's comment below.

You may want to get the header, up-pipe, and down-pipe epoxy thermal coated before you install, to keep from melting any important engine components.

Watch your intake air temperatures if you get stuck in stop-and-go traffic. This may be your only clue to how high your under-hood temps get. The Works kit is at least rear-mounted, so you won't have to worry about melting radiator fans, and heat-soaking the intake.

A turbo provides it's own back-pressure, so any additional back-pressure from the exhaust/muffler hurts the performance, but free-flowing exhaust can be loud and raspy. A good muffler setup is large, free-flowing, and has Helmholst resonators to eliminate rasp.

Works uses the stock header.

And ghost is using the open flash header on his, and someone else is using the p and l el on theirs.

Can it mate up to a (Nameless EL) PLM long tube headers' 3" flange? If so, that will give it more low-end torque.

I'd assume since the nameless header is supposed to work with any exhaust that mates up to the factory header

What I was told was, unless you're aiming for high hp get EL. If you just want a car that has more spunk and love the rumble UEL will do. But looking on the forum, i saw somebody pushing almost 400whp on the AVO turbo kit which is UEL. I suppose it's all personal preference.

I went with Tomei EL headers on my sprintex supercharger kit, I think the EL headers are more sleeper since you don't get that burble. I would apply the same logic to this and go with EL headers. I'm running a 70mm pulley so that's about 11.5 PSI if I recall.

Thanks! I'm just wondering if them being long tube headers will hurt performance when going FI.

I would venture to say that running an EL header will not only provide small benefits to horsepower over UEL, but will also move heat away from the engine more evenly.

I've just heard that long tubes may hurt spool when going fi. Was hoping someone might know.

Think I'll just stick with the BORLA UEL. I'm not so sure it will really matter at lower boost levels anyway, and the long tubes may hurt spool time.
