Anyone Running 17" Front and 18" Rear?
Was thinking about going 17 front and 18 rear with the Rota RT5.
Anyone running a similar setup? The thought spawned when a vendor I was working with was out of the 18x8.5, and I didnt want to run 18x9.5 front. |
Looks decent here: http://cliff.hostkansas.com/pffimage...ME-RIMS-10.jpg

I was actually thinking of doing the same. 17x8.25 front and 18x8.75 rear with 235/45r17 and 255/35r18 tires or something similar.

Almost everyone I've talked to who has staggered wheels regrets it. Better to keep the width square, this car was not designed for staggered setups. Yes it is physically possible and has been done, but it will have a negative effect on your handling.
As far as diameter goes for aesthetics, I don't know how a 17"/18" combo would work with the same width, that may be more the avenue you want to take. |

Usually it's done the opposite way. Larger up front to clear the brakes, bigger in back for a better drag tire.
Doing it the opposite way might be ok for drift though as the smaller sidewall might help in the rear. If you do it with different overall diameters, the ABS system is going to freak, so it might look silly with more sidewall in front than rear. |
