Finally installing my mods

So I'm finally catching up on installs this weekend... the anticipation is killing me :)

Got most of it done yesterday, finishing today. I can't wait to see what kind of difference doing all these at once will make! Just hope it's not TOO loud.

Comments and questions welcome. I will let you all know how it turns out later today (hopefully).

The OFH + OFT stage 2 will be a noticeable performance difference.

Don't forget to let the car idle for a few minutes after flashing the new tune!

looks like a nice start

Headers will make a nice difference as well! Enjoy man!

does the OFT have maps for an aftermarket header?

I'm pretty sure OpenFlash Tablet supports OpenFlash Header :P

They sell the Perrin exhaust on their website and in their bundles as well.

Honestly, I don't fully understand how the maps work yet. I ran the stage 1 when I got it but I haven't figured out how to find and download new tunes. If I remember correctly, there is a stage 2 that comes with it. I don't know if there's a different stage 2 tune for one header vs another though, or if it's just a generic tune for exhaust mods.

I just wasn't that worried about that part yet because I'm sure I can figure it out with some googling.

With the OFH you want to use the Stage2 UEL tune.

All of the tune files are one their website assuming they didn't come loaded with your OFT. I would also update the OFT before flashing since they made an update which speeds up the flash time a few weeks ago.

Thanks, I downloaded a folder full of tunes from OFT earlier, along with OpenFlash manager. I'm not sure how to update OFT though, is it on this page? Pic below.

As for the tunes I downloaded, it looks like there are 6 Stage 2 UEL tunes for US 6MT.

700C
900C
A00C
A01C
B00C
B01C

Not sure what the differences are.. anyone got a link that will explain?

yeah it's based on your cars specific ECU calibration. When you hook up the OFT it will tell you yours.

steve99 has a thread with all the OFT tips and tricks.

To update the OFT, just plug it in to your computer and launch the OFM. It will automatically update the OFM and OFT.

Assuming your car isn't really new and has a ECU calibration ID that is not recognized by the OFT, when you first plug it in it should detect one of the above IDs and create all of the required tune files on the tablet.

If it doesn't then you will need to load the files manually.

I have already been running stage 1 tune so I've got that part down. I found Steve's thread already, search ftw. I've got it figured out and am uploading updated tunes to my OFT now. Will have it tuned and ready to drive within 20 minutes hopefully :)

Edit: Actually I'm stuck.. I chose the files to upload and they are showing in step 2, but when I click "start" it just doesn't do anything : /

Not sure what's going on there. Did you choose the correct Cal ID?

Yeah, A00C, although it's kind of strange because all of the original tunes say A01C. If I try to upload an A01C, it will give me the error that's it's not the correct file type.

If I choose A00C, it says what it's supposed to, but I just can't click start.

Edit: I closed out of manager and unplugged the OFT. Went back in and some of them showed that they had been added. I added another, and now the start button is clickable, so I guess it's working now.

Is that the Perrin full exhaust system? Is yours resonated or non-resonated? Looking forward to your final set up!
