Clutch actuator position?
Hi guys can anyone take a quick look at their clutch actuator (on top of the transmission housing, behind the engine cover.) I cannot for the life of me remember it the pluger went through the hole on the backing plate or was just supposed to rest on it. I think this may be why I'm slipping in higher rpms after swapping my clutch. Not engaging fully.
Thanks. |
the actuator is called slave cylinder. the plunger should make contact to the clutch fork. the clutch fork is what moves the throwout bearing that actually depress the diaphragm spring to get the pressure plate to brake contract with the clutch disk.
hope this help. |
