Need help picking sway bar(s)
I see different sizes and rates but have no idea how it all comes together. I am trying to find something that won't break the bank but still be reliable. Current suspention set up is Megan Track Coilovers. I will be buying a set of LCAs and camber bolts here soon I am aiming for -3.5F/-3R. I am trying to get parts that will make me more competative in STX.
I have heard good things about disconnecting the rear sway bar, anyone able to shed any light on this as well. Thank you. |
Spring rates? Tires?
What's the car doing (or not doing) that you want to change? |
spring rates are 10K/8K.
also have 17x8 235/40/17 F and 17x9 255/40/17 R Federal 595 rs-r tires i would say that i would want to get more grip. i am getting a lot of understeer at entry. |

http://www.thesmokingtire.com/2012/m...teeroversteer/ With Megan coilovers, you've got plenty of things to tweak. I'd start by softening up the front. You want more grip, and that usually comes from ground contact. You can set the rears to be more stiff, depending on your current setup. For the sake of knowledge, I present crazy old Top Gear episode with a drifting Morris Minor: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shwgNV36xFA"]Car Handling - Grip, Oversteer & Understeer explained by Tiff Needell - YouTube[/ame] |

Get a square wheel setup first, that's a big part of the understeer problem. Also, Federals are under 200TW and not legal this year FYI.

Question to the more knowledgeable people here, could he swap the front and rear springs around to help balance the car out?

The springs appear to be 1" shorter in the front than in the rear. You MIGHT be able swap springs, but it would slightly limit the travel in the rear. http://www.proimporttuners.com/image...Z%20Street.jpg |
