SCCA pro solo what class

I am racing in the SCCA pro solo in May at MetLife stadium in jersey. I can't figure out what class I would be in and im having problems trying to find the class I need.

My mods are:
18x9 wheels
Racing seat and harness
Billet power blocks
Intake
Exhaust
Coilovers
Swaybars
Upper rear control atm bushings
Rear LCA
Strut bars
Short shifter
Crank pulley
Upgraded brakes front and rear EBC all around.
Open flash tablet with stage one bpb tune.

What class does that put me in?

I would like to keep everything simple.

I normally run STX I keep hearing I should be in DSP because of the blocks. And I'm making a front splitter for the car also.

I think the power blocks move you out of STX in CSP. How far is the front splitter going to extend?

TRD_Demon527 03-18-2015 10:32 AM

2" from my front lip n 1.5" on each side of the bumper

Front splitter measures out to 68"x24"

If the splitter extends beyond the bumper or beyond the front most part of the front wheel well opening, you'd be bumped from CSP to SM.

So then my frs is in street mod

Double check the street mod splitter allowances. IIRC I think it's only allowed to be wider than the bumper by a certain amount.

TRD_Demon527 03-18-2015 11:55 AM

The front bumper is about 66" wide

You're right: No portion of the splitter may extend beyond the widest part of the front bumper/fascia as viewed from above.

That's right. I knew it was more restrictive than intuition would suggest.

OP, this splitter you're building throws you all the way to prepared (probably F Prepared, but I try to avoid looking at the prepared rules so I don't know). If you don't really care about being competitive and just wanna have fun, by all means build the car that YOU want to have and just run it in whatever class it falls in.

Sans splitter you are in CSP. Running in STX with an illegal power mod is very likely to get you protested at a national event.

only if you are fast enough for anyone to care.

I ran STX with an "illegal" mod (Greddy rear diff cover) and no one cared because I was more than 5 seconds off the podium pace.
