5 spoke TRD wheels 54mm center bore
I picked up som TRD wheels meant for Corolla/Matrix. Not knowing anything about center bore, I found out these will not work. The center bore on car is 56mm and have been searching online for and adapter. Anyone have a good source that will adapt from 56mm car center bore to 54mm wheel center bore? I'm pretty sure I need a hub centric adapter but am not finding one the correct size. Any help will be appreciated.

wheels are 54. car is 56. You can't magically make something smaller fit into something bigger.
You either make the hole on the wheels bigger or the outside of the hub smaller. I would take it off the wheels. Machine shop should be able to do it. |
I already tried magic and it didn't work out so well. A machine shop is an option but would rather not modify the wheels which is why I am in search on an adapter...one has to exist somewhere just not finding it in my searches.

5 choices.
1. open wheel hole bigger 2. grind down hub (not recommended) 3. replace studs AND find an adapter spacer that is hubcentric 4. find a bolt on spacer 5. run 5mm spacer and not care about hubcentric rings which aren't really necessary. Measure the hub depth to make sure. I'd go for #5. |
I will give that a shot tonight, thanks for the info.
