Track Suspension Settings
I thought it would be helpful for everyone if we could compile a list of suspension settings people have found works well for them on the track. I am open to any suggestions, but I think the following format would be a good place to start. I thought it would also be helpful to list your suspension components.
Settings: Front Camber: Front Caster: Front Toe: Rear Camber: Rear Toe: Suspension Components: Springs and rates: Shock/coilover type: Front sway bar: Rear sway bar: Endlinks: Bushings: Front Camber devices: Rear camber devices: Wheels: Tires: Aero: Notes: (neutral, oversteer/understeer, allows good turn in, etc.) |
There are like a gazillion permutations...
You'd also need to add in tire model/size, wheel model/size, aero, etc.... |
Settings:
Front Camber: -3.0 Front Caster: Stock Front Toe: 0.0 Rear Camber: -1.9 (will change to -2.5 when rear LCA installed) Rear Toe: 0 Suspension Components: Springs and rates: Swift Spec R (Front 4.4kg, rear 5.3kg) Shock/coilover type: Koni Yellow Front sway bar: Perrin 19mm Rear sway bar: Perrin 16mm Endlinks: SPL (rear) Bushings: diff inserts, rear subframe inserts Front Camber devices: Raceseng camber plates Rear camber devices: None (SPL LCAs to be installed soon) Wheels: OZ Alleggerita 17 x 8 Tires: Bridgestone Potenze RE-11a 225/45/17 Aero: Driveway Labs Type 1 rear diffuser Notes: Car is neutral with slight oversteer tendencies. my latest set up, car feels slightly understeer if Apex too late, will keep this setting until CSG Spec Tein SRC shows up

Car feels fairly neutral but getting some push on low speed corners; I suspect this is driver induced and I need to follow-up by examining my data. Some tire temps are linked here but I need to get off the track sooner so they aren't cooled off as much:
http://ImageEvent.com/kster1/cars/brz/tiretemps Settings: Front Camber: -2.7 Front Caster: not adjustable Front Toe: 0 Rear Camber: -1.8 Rear Toe: 0 Suspension Components: Springs and rates: Eibach 350 front/425 rear Shock/coilover type: Ohlins R&T Front sway bar: OEM Rear sway bar: OEM Endlinks: OEM Bushings: OEM Front Camber devices: Ohlins camber plates Rear camber devices: RacerX LCA Wheels: TC105N 17x9 +35 Tires: 235/40/17 RA1 Aero: FT-86 race splitter, Voltex 1S rear wing |
Settings:
Front Camber: -2.5 Front Caster: stock Front Toe: 0 Rear Camber: -2.0 Rear Toe: 0 Suspension Components: Springs and rates: KW Clubsport Shock/coilover type: KW Clubsport Front sway bar: Stock Rear sway bar: Stock Endlinks: Perrin and Whiteline Bushings: Stock Front Camber devices: KW Clubsport Rear camber devices: SPC lower arm Wheels: Wedsport TC-105N 17x8 42+ Tires: Dunlop Direzza II Star Spec (for autocross 29psi F/ 31psi R, roadcourse 24psi F/ 26psi R) Aero: STI rear lip spoiler front end hooks in corner entry, mid, and exit rear end hooks in corner entry, looser mid and exit The Dunlops are much faster than the Rivals I had before but the car feels wobbly as opposed to solid with the Rivals. The Dunlops are good for 1.5sec on the road race track. |
Settings:
Front Camber: -3.1 Front Caster: 6.8 Front Toe: 0 Rear Camber: -2.7 Rear Toe: 0 Suspension Components: Springs and rates: RCE Yellow Shock/coilover type: OEM Front sway bar: Eibach (soft) Rear sway bar: Eibach (soft) Endlinks: OEM Bushings: OEM Front Camber devices: HVT Top Hats, SPC Camber Bolts Rear camber devices: SPC LCAs Wheels: RPF1 17x8 +45 Tires: Maxxis RC1 225/45R17 (39psi hot) Aero: FT-86 SpeedFactory Race Splitter, Driveway Labs Type 1 Rear Diffuser Notes: Neutral and fast. Handles imperfections/bumps with ease. Perfectly even tire temps indicates alignment and tire pressure are completely dialed in. Tons of grip with the RC1s. |
2.2 -2.5 was plenty of camber for me
