Rattle in the dash

I've got a 2013 BRZ and its been a great car, no problems whatsoever, but recently I am noticing a buzzy rattle coming from inside the dash somewhere when I drive on roads that are a little rough at some speeds (25-35 mph). I am suspecting a wiring harness or something that shook a little loose over time. The sound is really annoying.

I'm worried that this will be hard to find and fix. Is it covered under the warranty? Would they have to pull the dash off in order to get at the wiring in there and maybe ziptie it all up? Or can it mostly be reached from underneath?

It should be covered under warranty but pretty tough to guess how far they will have to go to fix it.
I had a rattle in the dash and when I was in for oil change I mentioned it. The service guys seemed to know what it was right away and just reached up under and moved something and I never heard it again. The whole operation took about 5 seconds.

mine just started doing this too about 2 days ago!! i can usually deal with minor rattles and stuff, but this is more like somewhere between a buzz and a rattle and it's driving me nuts

You want to hear the buzzes, rattles, pops, and other assorted noises you get when you drive these cars (or most others for that matter) once the temp hits -10 or so!

There are several relays and wires under the steering column that tend to get loose or rattle easily.

It will be covered under your basic 3 year/36K warranty, assuming you can replicate this issue at the dealer.

If they won't fix it, it isn't too hard to pull the lower dash out to check. But it may also be something in your HVAC system. When I had the lower dash off, it was super easy to locate everything and make sure it was all tight and secured.

That sounds a lot like what I am hearing. I go in for an oil change pretty soon, maybe they can solve it.
