Timed Chirp (Squeak) - Every 30sec
 

A high pitch "squeak" coming from the pulley starting. (see video, the pulley on the right side)
They noise can be heard from the cabin, especially if no music is playing.

I timed it, and it seems as it happens approximately every 30 seconds. (the 48sec one was missed)

Have any of you experienced this in your 86?

It's hard to tell from these videos. Are you talking about this?

If yours happens even when the AC is off, then it's something else.

Yup, the AC compressor is kicking on.

The air conditioning runs when in defrost mode to remove moisture from the air to keep your windows from fogging up. Totally normal.

Just to update anyone else that might be concerned with the noise.

I was in for a tail light replacement, and as @strat61caster mentioned above---it is considered as normal operation.
