Looking for BRZ heated seat information
As most of us BRZ Limited owners know the OEM heated seats don't really get more than warm or stay consistently hot. I'd love to figure out a solution to turn these up but I've not yet fully come to understand how the heat is controlled. From the wiring diagram we only get to see power from the switch going into the seat so the key must be in the seat itself.
Does anyone have any info on electronics within the seat? Has anyone found a thermostat in a seat or any other electronics that are being used to regulate temperature? |
You want it HOTTER?! Honestly I rarely ever feel the need to even use the HI setting. And I live in Chicago!

Mine get luke warm with the occasional burst of hot(maybe once or twice a day it seems). Every single other vehicle with heated seats I've ever been in get much, much hotter.

One telling symptom is your report of an occasional burst of heat. That sounds to me like an intermittent connection. If the connection is loose for a device that draws as much current as a heater, you might find signs of heat in a connector or a ground lug. These can be a real PITA to trace. |
