Thanks Decay107

Big thanks to Doug for the help on the installation of the GrimmSpeed intake:bow:

just a little blood spilled for the insall Gods

Blood = +10hp at 7400rpm

Decay107 11-15-2014 08:37 PM

No problem, you notice a difference? I felt a little more power up top, but had it back off before my ECU could finish learning.

and @even my blood doesn't boost top end power, it gives +25wtq at 3700 RPM :party0030:

Do you guys know if they fixed it so it would work in conjunction with the Perrin oil cooler? I remember they were having trouble getting it in there with the sandwich plate and hoses coming out of it.

No.

At first I thought it might work

But had some rubbing and took it off for now

I can only imagine how bad the rubbing would be under track conditions.

So much for me switching to this intake then. I think I'm nearing 2 years with the Perrin and haven't changed/cleaned the foam filter yet. Taking the front bumper off isn't a fun thing to do.

Yeah I was pretty sad to see it, looks like the only options for those who want to run an oil cooler (mocal based) are the stock box and Perrin.

On a related note, turns out I've been melting the stock intake resonator for a while now with the nameless header...

You don't have to take off the front bumper....

I meant I need to remove the bumper with my Perrin intake. I know I don't with the grimmspeed.

Check the link I posted above. I posted how to get into that area behind the bumper without taking the bumper off.
