Replacement Lights
 

Hi guys,

Where can one get replacement fog lamps for the 86, either the normal or preferably the LED ones.

Apparently they are an oddly shaped and even toyota doesnt stock them and have to order as and when required.

Am asking for a friend of mine who has a blow one.

If anyone one know of good LED replacement id also want to replace mine

I've had LED globes in my fogs - they're useless. Pretty in pics but no use otherwise. That being said, the stock ones are also useless so it's much of a muchness I guess. Can get from ebay.com, dx.com, etc...

I've replaced my fogs with glass lens ones & H11 halogens. MUCH better.

Sav - whats the model number/code or whatever for the LED ones?

H16. You need to modify it a little bit - just cut one of the tabs. You'll see what I mean.

Are the glass lens one you are referring to Outback ones which I have seen on the forums?

They are actually extremely universal - Renault Megane, Astra OPC, etc - lots of cars using the exact same ones.

Violet electronics stocks led 1s if u interested. I got a quote for R 495 for the 86 led fog bulbs.

well the stock incandescent bulbs dont do anything in terms of providing usable light, so I also want to replace them with LED ones, so they match the LED eyebrows in the main headlamps.

The PS24W lamps are very hard to get, the last time i went violet they said that they didnt have, If you insist on replacing it with another normal bulb, the Jeeps use the same type.

The lamps have different numbers and names depending on which part of the world you are in, as there arent really standards governing them, so 9009, h16, 5202 and PS24w are all the same things.

So you guys say violet has them now? maybe diesel and i shoud make a swing by there.

also AFAIK the low spec and the hi spec use different bulbs, but i can be corrected on that.

Violet shud have them now.. I emailed about a month ago and they had stock.

Both models use the same fog globe in South Africa.

Correct, and all those numbers are NOT exactly the same, the tabs/splines are different.
