CEL and cruise control not working

So I installed a jdl equal length header about a month and a half ago (with o2 spacer) and just got a cel yesterday, which I assume to be from the header. Only other engine modification is a catback. Also, when I press the cruise control button, the icon on the dash lights up amber, and won't go away until the car is turned off. Anyone have any ideas about why cruise control no longer works? Thanks for any help in advance

it is because of your CEL

above post is correct.

you need to disable cel in software its code P0420 or try an 02 sensor spacer in the rear 02 sensor to fool ecu that you still have cat. try the different size washers if it came with them. to reset the cel remove batt cable for a minute or pull the ecu fuse, then you wont have to reset radio ect.

So if I pull the ecu fuse and put it back the cel will go away?

it will clear cel but if its a permanent problem it will come back

If you disable the software code does that mean the cel won't be functional if the engine has other problems unrelated to the header? Is fixing it with the o2 spacer the only way to fix it correctly then? the CEL goes away and comes back pretty frequently now
