Longo scion

I bought my car from them back in July. I've made at least 3 inquiries for service and 2 for parts. It's been 2.5 months since the first inquiry. Is this how dealers or longo scion treat car buyers and owners?

Cyau 10-23-2014 10:23 PM

.... please explain yourself better...

you made "inquiries" could simply means you "asked" about something.

or are you trying to say you "ordered" some parts and it has been 2month and still did not arrive? if this is true, I'm not sure what you mean for inquires for service...

and no, this is NOT how dealers normally treat car buyers or owners. No one ever purposely treat their customer poorly, especially not Longo. There must be some miscommunication happened somewhere.

Again, please describe your situation clearly please.

i had a pleasant experience when buying my car there but their service department is terrible. if i were you, avoid having your car serviced there

Inquire is to ask question. My check engine light went on at about 500 miles on odometer. I called the sales rep who sold me the car and he transferred me to service department. I did a follow up two weeks later by calling. Same thing. Third through chat and received emails on my follow ups. The parts were made weeks later. I saw that my exhaust had developed rust in just 2 months of ownership and lastly called for a quote on passenger side windows.

Service dept does suck. I've waited forever for a call back for my cabin air filter that they didn't have. Now it's time for my next oil change and I'm just going to bring it up again. Try to avoid Sunday appts too because they are limited on techs and a lot of resources aren't there. Go weekdays or Saturday if you can.

Thanks bro! I should have bought my car at Carson Toyota. They would've treated me differently but my dad only trust "Asians" ohh the irony. Their service dept called me back within 12 hours, Carson Toyota > longo sadly.

The car buying experience was painless there. The service department was quite painful.

See my experience.

Parts department are SLOWWWW AF. No sence of urgency even with a long line. Purchasing my car on the other hand was a different story :)

This is good info to know. How's Longo compare to like wondries? Isn't Pasadena pretty good?

Wondries is a hit n miss too... My friend bought a 2014 TC from them and after the initial "check up"... They did a tire rotation but somehow lost a lug nut but didn't tell her. When I saw it missing... She's literally freaked. They eventually gave her a new lugnut but the trouble of going back and Fourth....

Never had a problem with the service department. I had condensation on one of my tails and they had the part in stocked, had my car ready within the day. Told me they'll change the other one just in case as well but didn't have the part. They said they would have the part in two days time and on that second day, they called me to schedule an appointment to get that tail swapped out.

Honestly, I chose the wrong people in buying my car from. They didnt have to convince me on purchasing the car, it was already imbedded by forum members and friends. What really got me was how far the salesmen would go to get me at their dealership. Carson Toyota did the best and their service, but as mentioned before my pops trusted asians and we ended up at Longo Scion( biggest regret because of their service department). I financed the car and pay for insurance, but i had a better out the door price compared to long.

pretty sure all dealers suck and avoid them at all cost.

The best dealer is no dealer
