Cel is on, but no code on my OFT device

came back from work, car has around 44 000 km. just after a stop at the gaz station, the Cel light went on like a km of driving. arrived at home 5 km later, stopped the car, no symptom of anything, first time i can recall this has happened.

took my OFT, plugged in, tried to see a error code, the tablet say's everything is fine, no error code.. but the Cel is still on!

what can it be? any clue?

yes and no

should be, but with oft, header without cat and crawford powerblock, it's more than obvious that the dealer could say that i've ruined it!

went outside 2 min ago, no code again, and the cel is gone....! i checked my gas cap, and i could lock it 1 click more... so maybe it was the problem... I hope! :)

Your cel could be popping up from the tranny ecu...OFT will not show those codes.

Aftermarket scanner will show any P**** codes. Including transmission.

as per other posts oft only reads engine ECU codes, code may be from other control units in car ie trans , body control traction control ect.

if it came on after fill up check gas cap is tight else it will throw an evap system cel code. OFT will clear codes though inless it a permanent fault

buy cheap obd scanner or get auto shop to read code for you
