Turbo oil feed

Where else can I get my oil feed supply instead of the hex head cap on the top of the engine block? The current setup I have at the top of the engine is going to be in the way of moving my throttlebody forward.

Looks like fa20 club ties into some sensor on the right side front of the head? T'd into oil pressure sensor or something?

You can tee into the factory oil pressure sensor, its located below the oil filter in the front cover. Its the one with a single wire connection.

Thanks! Is it cool to have the extra weight of a T hanging off there without any sort of bracket holding it up?

mrk1 10-21-2014 08:29 PM

you can remove the factory idiot light if you have another oil gauge installed.

Only have the OE one unfortunately. I'll try the T and keep an eye on it.

I used the oil galley plug.

As above, Teeing off from the oil pressure sensor works fine. I've had mine like that for almost a year without issue.

There's also a spot under the passenger side fuel injector cover. That's where my oil pickup is

Just out of curiousity (it is related), where does it return?

Most returns will be back into your oil pan. I have the avo setup and it returns via a pump into the rh side rear cam plate

So to go turbo you have to mod your oil pan?

In most cases, yes. A lot of kits come with pretapped oil pans or give the option to buy one

glorydays 10-28-2014 06:51 PM

Gravity return to cam plate.
